About Me

My Name is Michael Pincus and this will be my third attempt at a blog, hopefully this will be my last. I have been racing bicycles since 2007 starting with the Pearland Cycling Team along with my father. Over the years I have learned a lot in the sport of cycling and it has truly help shape me into the person I am today. I got into bicycle racing for several reasons. My dad was a racer, I was already a cross-country runner, and I liked the freedom that cycling gave me. In all honesty, you just have so much freedom on a bike to explore the areas around you in ways that you cannot fully appreciate unless you are out there on the bike. It was not until I was 18 years old that I truly started to admire the beauty of this sport. Every new place I discover and new friend I make, I keep in the back of my mind.

I am a full time electrical engineering student at the University of Houston. I raced professionally with Astellas Professional Cycling team in 2014. However conflicts with school kept me off of the roster in 2015. I am now currently racing with GIANT Racing as I progress further in my studies. I plan to use this blog to keep my friends, family, followers, and support up to date on what is going on in my life in terms of racing, training, school, and just general thoughts.
